Map map visualization

Description

Maps show geographic data and often come in two popular formats.

  1. Choropleth - geographic regions are colored/shaded based on amount. It often makes sense to use rates (e.g. number per 100,000) rather than totals.
  2. Dot/Bubble - points (often latitude/longitude) on the map are sized by amount
